It is known that Sigurd Langes top form wasn't really sheduled, but he succesfully tried to make somehing of it in Italy, at Novara - Baveno.
But not too many happy faces after Lange's win.
Sigurd Lange: "We're all still so disappointed about last night, we still can't believe it. We know Jill did everything he could during the tour and he did a perfect job as the super professional rider he is. Things were looking so good after his win yesterday morning and Casper was ready to ride the time trial of his life. And then a crooked manhole cover was enough to cause a fall and shattered dreams. It really is depressing. All I can do is dedicate this win to Casper and promise him to help him to secure victory next year!"
Team Leukefans manager Sisse gave a short update about Jill's situation and future plans: "Well offcourse, Casper was brokenhearted after yesterdays time trial. But this morning, he was already sprinting for a nice result in the Parade and that is typical for him. He is one of the most professional riders I know and I'm sure he'll get over this to come back even stronger. He'll take a short break now and don't ride races for a while only to build up to his topform again afterwards. And to round up with a positive note: I am very pleased with Sigurds win today and we are ambitious to ad many more victorys in the future!"
